WHat’s the process?

  1. Come in for advice, ideas and a quote

Whilst we might be able to offer some advice by phone or email, nothing beats seeing the materials and discussing the options in person. We operate an appointment system, which enables us to ensure we have a dedicated amount of time with you, without having to wait and without the pressure of someone else waiting after you. Please call 01763 261972 or email framed@tpfstudio.co.uk.

  2. Decide on your frame, mount and glass

Some people arrive with ideas about the frame they want; others need some help. With a BA (Hons) in illustration and 20 years’ experience as a professional picture framer, Kevin Jones will expertly guide you through the options, ensuring your bespoke picture frame enhances your item, fits in with its intended location - and your budget.

  3. Pay a 50% deposit

As every frame is made to order and therefore cannot be resold, we ask for a 50% deposit upfront.

  4. Wait 4-6 weeks

The hardest bit! We are a small, artisan business which values quality above speed. Lead times vary depending on the work that is involved in each specific job and also our existing workload. We will advise if there is a longer lead time at the point you confirm the order. If you have a deadline, please let us know and we will always try to accommodate you if you need something sooner. Let us know if you have any specific requirements.

  5. Collect and pay the balance

We only take the final payment once you are completely happy with your finished piece. For this reason, we recommend collecting the work in person. Due to the delicate nature of the product, sending frames by courier or with a delivery service risks the work being damaged, and this is the last thing we would want to happen. All work comes ready to hang on the wall and packaged to take home in recycled cardboard.

What materials do you use?

At certain times of the year, we may be able to offer a priority service for a small premium. Please contact us to discuss your requirements.

I’m in a Hurry! Can you make my frame faster?

Yes. We offer a wide range of glazing options, from standard float glass through to anti-reflective UV filtering glass. More details can be found on the Materials page of the website.

Do you offer non-reflective glass?

Our studio and workshop is secure, alarmed, and the contents insured. Nonetheless, the sentimental (or financial) value of your item may be such that you don’t want to leave it unattended overnight. Once you have chosen your materials and paid your deposit, we can arrange a date for you to bring your piece to the studio in the morning and collect later the same day, giving you ultimate peace of mind.

Do you offer a restoration service?

As every frame we make is bespoke, we quote for each job individually when we discuss the project in the studio. Our main objective is to offer the best option for our customer and for the item being framed. If our initial costs are too high for your budget, we can look at alternative options; we have a variety of mouldings at different price points, and various glass options available too.

What will the frame cost?
