The sum is more than its parts

But the parts are important, too.

Frames

Wood, metal, traditional plaster or a combination of materials - the choice is huge, but it needn’t be overwhelming. We have an extensive range of contemporary and traditional frames on display, ready for you to try next to your work. We can advise on the suitability of a given frame based on your piece, its eventual location and your budget.

We predominantly use mouldings from Nielsen and Larson-Juhl but we work with a number of other suppliers. If you’ve seen something you like elsewhere but can’t see it at our studio, ask us: we can probably source it.

Ornate mouldings can work with contemporary prints as well as traditional paintings.

A simple black frame lets the print take centre stage and complements the black-and-white photograph.

GLASS

When you visit the studio, we will always take the time to discuss your requirements to understand the best materials for the job, including our UV anti-reflective glass.

This is an anti-reflective high-quality glass which provides UV protection. Due to a high quality coating on both sides, it allows high light transmission and low light reflection, ensuring that works of art are shown with zero distortion.

Choose UV anti-reflective glass for sunny rooms, to protect valuable work or for box frames.

Many people choose to upgrade to this option as the visual benefits and the long-term protection justify the extra cost.

You really need to see the glass in person to appreciate the full benefits that this glass can provide.

In some instances acrylic can be more suitable. For safety reasons, or if a frame is particularly large, due to the weight of standard glass

Mounts

From simple white mounts to coloured cores, straight or curved cuts, single or multiple apertures in the same frame, there’s nothing we can’t do - and we always use acid-free mountboard. We use a Computer Mount Cutter (CMC), giving you many options for the image being framed.
